October 20, 2026: Picard Medical and Leveraged ETFs Lead Sharp Decliners

On October 20, 2026, several stocks and leveraged ETFs posted sharp declines. Picard Medical (NYSE American: PMI) fell 32.2% to $10.48, after trading between $10.14 and $17.43. No same-day company announcement was identified as the cause, although the stock had experienced several volatility-related trading halts during the preceding sessions.

Sea Limited (NYSE: SE) declined 9.1% to $80.43, with approximately 18.7 million shares traded—more than four times its recent average. No clear company-specific catalyst was identified in the available information.

Direxion Daily S&P Biotech Bear 3X Shares (NYSE Arca: LABD) dropped 10.6% to $7.41. LABD seeks 300% of the inverse daily performance of the S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index.

Defiance Daily Target 2X Short BMNR ETF (NYSE Arca: BMNZ) fell 12.3% to $5.34, while Defiance Daily Target 2X Short MSTR ETF (NYSE Arca: SMST) declined 10.3% to $14.16. These ETFs seek -200% of the daily performance of BitMine Immersion Technologies and Strategy, respectively. Their declines were consistent with gains in both underlying stocks.

These leveraged ETFs reset daily, so compounding can cause their longer-term returns to differ substantially from twice the inverse return of their underlying securities. The five selected securities were lower in the cited market snapshot, but this group alone does not establish a broader market downturn.
