BRP Inc. (NASDAQ: DOO) Raises Fiscal 2027 Outlook Despite Quarterly Loss

  • BRP Inc. (NASDAQ: DOO) reported C$2.24 billion in revenue, an 18.5% year-over-year increase driven by higher off-road vehicle shipments.
  • The company recorded a C$136.8 million net loss, compared with C$57.1 million in net income one year earlier—a deterioration of C$193.9 million.
  • BRP raised its fiscal 2027 normalized diluted EPS forecast to C$4.00–C$4.50, although tariff expenses continue to pressure profitability.

On September 3, 2026, BRP Inc. (NASDAQ: DOO) reported results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027. BRP manufactures powersports products under brands including Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Can-Am, Lynx and Rotax.

Revenue increased 18.5% to C$2.237 billion, primarily because of higher off-road vehicle shipments and a favorable sales mix of side-by-side vehicles. Sales of year-round products increased 33%, helping BRP gain market share despite challenging industry conditions.

However, profitability weakened. BRP recorded a net loss of C$136.8 million, or C$1.88 per diluted share, compared with net income of C$57.1 million, or C$0.79 per share, one year earlier. Normalized diluted loss was C$0.18 per share, compared with normalized earnings of C$0.92 previously. Normalized EBITDA declined 34.9% to C$138.8 million, largely reflecting tariff-related expenses.

Based on its sales performance and lower projected tariff costs, BRP raised its fiscal 2027 normalized diluted EPS guidance to C$4.00–C$4.50 from C$3.00–C$3.50. It also increased its normalized EBITDA outlook to C$1.025–C$1.075 billion. However, projected net income was reduced to C$160–C$195 million from C$215–C$250 million, showing that the outlook remains mixed. TD Securities upgraded BRP to Buy from Hold ahead of the earnings report.

BRP also announced that Minh Thanh Tran will become Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2026, succeeding Sébastien Martel. Martel will remain an executive adviser until his planned retirement in April 2027. The company also intends to make major product announcements every six months for the next four years.
