  • Jefferies has raised its price target for Estée Lauder Companies Inc. to $100.00, reflecting confidence in the beauty giant’s future.
  • The company reported robust fiscal fourth-quarter results, with net sales up 6% and adjusted EPS climbing to $0.39, surpassing analyst expectations.
  • Despite strong growth in key segments and a strategic Profit Recovery and Growth Plan, valuation concerns persist, with the stock trading at approximately 25 times its projected 2028 EPS.

Jefferies analyst Sydney Wagner has increased the price target for Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL) to $100.00 from $88.00. Estée Lauder, a global leader in the beauty industry, offers a wide range of products in the skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair care markets. The new target was set when the stock’s price was $97.10.

The company’s recent financial performance supports this positive outlook. EL reported strong fiscal fourth-quarter results, with net sales rising 6% year-over-year to $3.63 billion, as noted by Zacks. Its adjusted earnings per share (EPS), a key measure of profitability, climbed significantly to $0.39 from just $0.09 in the previous year, beating analyst estimates.

Growth was driven by strong results across its largest product segments. Skin Care revenue increased by 9% to $1.90 billion, while Fragrance sales grew 10% to $618.00 million. Makeup revenue also saw a 3% rise to $1.00 billion. However, the Hair Care division experienced a slight 1% decline in sales to $140.00 million.

Looking forward, EL is implementing a strategic Profit Recovery and Growth Plan, which aims to achieve $1.20 billion in cost savings by 2028. The company projects organic sales growth of 3% to 5% for fiscal 2027. It also provides an adjusted EPS guidance range of $3.10 to $3.35 for the same period.

Despite the strong results, some concerns about stock valuation exist. As highlighted by Seeking Alpha, an analyst notes that EL’s valuation is approximately 25 times its projected 2028 EPS. This is considered high for a company that is expected to grow in the mid-single-digit range, suggesting the positive news may already be reflected in the stock price.
