Several companies recorded substantial losses on September 8, 2026, driven by financing developments, clinical-trial concerns, and legal uncertainty.

Focus Universal Inc. (NASDAQ: FCUV) fell 65.3% to $5.91 after announcing the exercise of warrants covering 279,330 shares. The transaction generated approximately $3.72 million and increased the company’s outstanding shares to 982,012, raising dilution concerns.

bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIAF) declined 41.5% to $8.93, while Atrium Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNA) fell 20.2% to $11.35. Both companies announced investor-conference appearances, but these routine announcements contained no clearly negative developments and should not be presented as confirmed causes of the declines.

Dyne Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: DYN) dropped 16.4% to $20.31 after Novartis AG (NYSE: NVS) reported that del-desiran failed a late-stage trial for myotonic dystrophy type 1. The failure increased perceived risks for Dyne’s DYNE-101 program because both trials use a similar efficacy measure.

Sigma Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: SGML) declined 15.8% to $10.43 following reports of a preliminary ruling that allegedly suspended its environmental licenses. However, the company said it had received no official notice and that its mining and industrial operations remained unaffected.

Overall, the declines reflected different risks, including share dilution, clinical uncertainty, and legal concerns.
