Top Stock Market Gainers: Earnings, Corporate Updates, and Speculative Trading

Company-specific developments, earnings results, direct-listing activity, and speculative momentum drove several of today’s largest stock moves.

T3 Defense (NASDAQ: DFNS) led the gainers, surging 83.21% to close at $24.00. The stock traded between $20.00 and $36.69 on volume of more than 27 million shares. The rally followed a July 20 announcement that the company’s Industrial Techno-Logic Solutions subsidiary had delivered a custom composite-materials production line to an Israeli building-materials manufacturer. The project extends the subsidiary’s defense-grade fiberglass manufacturing expertise into industrial applications. However, the stock’s extreme volatility suggests that speculative momentum also contributed to the move.

Two China-based companies also recorded substantial gains. INLIF Limited (NASDAQ: INLF) climbed 61.59% to $5.30, while Baiya International Group (NASDAQ: BIYA) advanced 54.44% to $6.44. Both stocks traded on unusually high volume.

The companies had previously completed reverse stock splits. INLIF Limited (NASDAQ: INLF) implemented a 1-for-200 reverse split effective July 6, while Baiya International Group (NASDAQ: BIYA) completed a 1-for-10 reverse split effective July 13. Reverse splits reduce the number of shares outstanding while proportionally increasing the price per share, without directly changing a company’s market value. They are frequently used to regain compliance with an exchange’s minimum bid-price requirement. Because these splits occurred weeks before today’s rallies, they should not be presented as confirmed catalysts for the latest gains.

In the technology sector, Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) jumped 26.23% to close at $107.02, with trading volume exceeding 6.3 million shares. The company reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $563 million, down 7% year over year, but delivered a record adjusted gross margin of 41.4%. Non-GAAP earnings were $1.59 per diluted share, and adjusted EBITDA increased 8% to $97 million. The combination of stronger profitability and an increased full-year earnings outlook helped offset concerns about lower revenue, which primarily reflected weaker Networked Solutions sales and the timing of project deployments.

Digital infrastructure company Ionic Digital (NASDAQ: IOND) closed at $62.90 after opening at $50.00 in its first day of Nasdaq trading. This represents a 25.80% increase from its opening price and an approximately 18.7% gain over Nasdaq’s $53.00 reference price. Because the company completed a direct listing and had no previous closing price, the 25.80% figure should not be described as a conventional daily percentage gain. A direct listing allows existing shareholders to sell their shares publicly without the company issuing new shares or raising capital through the listing.

Overall, today’s leading performers were influenced by a combination of corporate announcements, earnings results, listing activity, and speculative trading. T3 Defense (NASDAQ: DFNS) benefited from attention surrounding its industrial expansion, while Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) rallied after reporting stronger margins and raising its earnings outlook. The sharp moves in INLIF Limited (NASDAQ: INLF) and Baiya International Group (NASDAQ: BIYA) appear more speculative because no clear same-day corporate catalyst was identified, while Ionic Digital (NASDAQ: IOND) attracted significant interest during its Nasdaq direct-listing debut.
