The company recently announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, revealing performance that surpassed market expectations. These results continue a trend of consistent profitability for Youdao.

On August 20, 2026, Youdao reported an earnings per share (EPS) of $0.11, significantly beating the analyst consensus estimate of $0.02. This strong earnings result is backed by a net income of RMB 73.80 million. This figure marks a substantial turnaround from the RMB 17.80 million loss recorded in the same quarter of the previous year.

Youdao’s revenue also exceeded forecasts, coming in at RMB 1.5 billion, or $216.20 million. This represents a 3.5% increase year-over-year. As highlighted by PR Newswire, CEO Dr. Feng Zhou attributed this growth to strength in learning services and AI-driven products, which offset declines in other areas.

This quarter marks Youdao’s eighth consecutive quarter of operating profitability, with a record operating profit of RMB 111.50 million. The company’s operating cash flow, which is the cash generated from its core business activities, showed robust growth. It increased by 80.7% from the prior year to reach RMB 334.20 million.

An analysis of the company’s financial health shows a Debt-to-Equity ratio of -0.89. However, Youdao’s current ratio is 0.52, suggesting its short-term assets do not currently cover all of its short-term liabilities.
