LivaNova (NASDAQ: LIVN) is a leading medical technology company that develops innovative devices and therapies for cardiac surgery and neuromodulation. An analyst from Stifel Nicolaus has raised the price target for LivaNova to $85.00. When the target was set, the stock’s price was $76.59, indicating a potential upside of approximately 10.99%.

This optimistic view is supported by the company’s recent performance. LivaNova reported record second-quarter revenue of $390.60 million, a 9.80% increase on a constant-currency basis from the prior year. As highlighted by Zacks Investment Research, this result surpassed revenue estimates, driven by double-digit growth in its Cardiopulmonary and Epilepsy businesses.

Profitability also showed significant strength. The company’s adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS), a key measure of profit per share, increased to $1.26 from $1.05 in the same quarter last year. This figure beat the consensus estimate of $1.08, marking a positive surprise of 16.67% for investors.

Following these strong results, LivaNova raised its full-year outlook for both revenue and adjusted EPS. However, it also reduced its forecast for adjusted free cash flow. This reduction is to account for increased investment in manufacturing capacity, innovation, and IT infrastructure, which are essential for future growth.
